Lincoln has its first Beginners Disc Golf Course! This course is located at Bethany Park, N 65th St & Vine St. Disc golf, or frisbee golf, is family friendly, accessible and low cost.

This course features two sets of tees designed for beginner players and are especially great for kids. The two colored tees are purple and green. The purple tees are the shortest and cater to players who may have recently been introduced to the game. The green tees are a longer tee set and can be used by players who have honed their skills.

To start playing disc golf all you need is a disc; regular frisbees are not suggested. You can buy used discs from Play-It-Again sports ($10 or less) or new ones from Scheels or Zen Llama ($15-20). Fairway drivers are suggested for new players and lighter discs (150-160 vs 175 gm). Kids should also use lighter discs. If you are a beginner do not spend a lot of money on discs; odds are you will lose a disc or two.

Courses in Lincoln are managed by Lincoln Flying Disc Club.

In the spring of 2024, the concrete pads and tee signs will be installed.
